Premier League legend Gary Neville believes Manchester United will finish third, ahead of Liverpool and Chelsea. The former defender has predicted that Aston Villa will miss out on the top five because of their commitments in other competitions and injuries.

Speaking on his podcast, Neville admitted he was surprised to predict that Manchester United would finish third this season after they moved above Aston Villa on Sunday, March 1. He has backed Liverpool to come fourth and Liam Rosenior's side fifth, though he was unsure about the Blues and Aston Villa. He said (via Sky Sports):

"I think United will definitely finish third. I can't believe I'm saying that from where they were six weeks ago. But, they've got no distractions, something good is going on, all the momentum. I think Liverpool finish fourth and I think Chels will finish fifth. I hope Villa finish in the top five, I really do. I've said before that their manager is an experienced and wise guy."

"If they get some players back; midfield players being injured have cost them in the last few weeks. I just think it will Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea. The only doubt will be Chelsea or Villa for fifth. Injuries will be a big factor. Other competitions will be a big factor. At the moment, they're in danger Villa. They're vulnerable in terms of the Champions League places."

With 10 games to go this season, Manchester United and Aston Villa have 51 points each. Liverpool are three points behind in fifth, while the Blues are sixth with 45 points.

Chelsea need 3 more players to compete, says Manchester United legend

Manchester United legend Gary Neville believes Chelsea are just three players away from competing for the Premier League title. He wants them to sign a goalkeeper, a centre-back and a forward, all with experience, to help the players on the pitch. He said on his podcast:

"So many times during matches with Chelsea you flip from thinking they're miles away, and they're naive and they're nice to thinking, right, if you get a goalkeeper, an experienced centre-back, you get an experienced centre-forward and you could be in business."

"They need a top-class goalkeeper and a top-class centre-back that's experienced. And they need a top-class centre-forward to accompany Joao Pedro and Delap, not to replace them or get rid of them."

The Blues are unlikely to sign a goalkeeper, with Mike Penders coming back from his loan at Strasbourg, while the center-back option will be bolstered with the addition of Levi Colwill, who has been out since the start of the season.

They have signed Emmanuel Emegha as the center-forward option, and he will be joining in the summer.
