[](https://www.joebucsfan.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/08/Evansright2022smile.png)If Mike Evans tests free agency when the dinner bell rings next Monday, he’ll surely find at least a team or two willing to give him a two-year contract.
How a team would value the 2027 version of Evans at 34 years old is unclear, but there will be a club willing to put a price on securing Evans for 2026 and 2027. Joe has no doubt.
Heck, coming off a major knee injury (ACL), receiver Stefon Diggs signed a three-year, $63.5 million deal with the Patriots last March. Diggs turned 32 in November.
Last March, Rams receiver Davante Adams signed a two-year, $44 million contract — at 32 years old.
Joe supposes there’s a chance Evans might only want a one-year contract, but that seems unlikely.
There’s great confidence at JoeBucsFan.com world headquarters that Evans will re-sign with Tampa. And man, it would be a lot of fun if Evans commits to two more seasons. That could turn out to be a questionable decision by the Bucs if Father Time tackles Evans from behind, but it feels like a gamble worth taking.
