The Milwaukee Bucks are slumping again, as they are now on a two-game losing skid following back-to-back losses to the New York Knicks and the Chicago Bulls on Friday and Sunday, respectively. Both were also blowout losses, with a combined losing margin of 52 points.
In the Bulls game at United Center in Chicago, Milwaukee was stunned by Chicago’s 27-0 run in the second half that Doc Rivers’ squad couldn’t overcome. Josh Giddey was a huge factor for the Bulls in that contest, as he put together a remarkable performance that moved him closer to breaking an all-time franchise record.

Bucks fall prey to Giddey, Bulls
The Bucks simply couldn’t contain Giddey, who made his fantasy basketball owners (and the Bulls, of course) by stuffing the stat sheets with 20 points, 14 rebounds and 10 assists. He shot 7/14 from the floor and knocked down five of his 11 attempts from the field. In addition, he had two steals and a block, all in 32 minutes of work on the floor, as Chicago avoided a regular-season sweep at the hands of Milwaukee with a 120-97 victory.
As for the Bucks, they were led by veteran forward Bobby Portis, who unloaded 18 points off the bench. Cam Thomas added 15 points, also as part of Milwaukee’s reserve group.
Milwaukee will have to find its way out of a hole again, as it looks to keep its hopes alive of making at least the Play-in Tournament in the Eastern Conference. The Bucks are scheduled to face the Boston Celtics at Fiserv Forum this Monday night.
