Liverpool’s first trip to Molineux this week comes as part of a double header that could shape the Reds’ season.

Rob Edwards’ Wolverhampton Wanderers host Liverpool in the Premier League on Tuesday night before the sides do it all again in the FA Cup fifth round at the same ground on Friday, handing Arne Slot’s men a rare back‑to‑back away assignment in the Midlands.

The league clash arrives with Liverpool chasing vital points in the Champions League race and Wolves looking to build on an impressive 2-0 win over Aston Villa at Molineux, a result that gave Edwards his second Premier League victory since taking charge. That performance, full of energy and aggression, will serve as the template as Wolves attempt to unsettle a Liverpool side juggling injuries and a heavy schedule.

With the FA Cup tie looming just days later, both managers must also weigh up how much to rotate without losing momentum in either competition.

And it seems Wolves will have a fully fit squad to face Slot’s men with Rob Edwards confirming in his pre-game press conference that Hee-Chan Hwang has recovered from a calf strain:

“Ladislav Krejci is available following a ban, and Hee-Chan Hwang has recovered from a calf strain, which means Rob Edwards has a fully fit squad to choose from,” reported Ben Dinnery.

Edwards also said of the clash vs Liverpool:

“You know, especially after a win [vs Aston Villa], it’s easy to convince yourself, actually, I’m feeling alright, and I’m ready to go again. So, that’s important to say, that we’re not tired, we’re ready. But then we need to make sure we get the balance right. There are a lot of games – February was really busy for us – six games in 20 days.”

“But we’ve had enough time to recover, and we’re ready.”
