Brighton vs Arsenal from the Amex Stadium in the Premier League - Wednesday 7.30pm
Danny Welbeck will be up against his old club on Wednesday as Brighton look to continue their impressive recent form against title-chasing Arsenal.
Welbeck has two goals in last two matches following his latest clinical strike in Brighton's 2-1 win against Nottingham Forest on Sunday - his 10th of the season.
Welbeck, 35, has now reached double figures for the past two seasons and seems to be getting better with age. The 42-cap England international joined Brighton on a free transfer in 2020 after an injury-hit spell at Watford. He previously played for Manchester United, before moving to the Gunners in 2014.
Former Arsenal invincible Jeremie Aliadiere has been impressed by Welbeck's longevity and feels he will be a threat to Mikel Arteta's league leaders at the Amex Stadium on Wednesday.
"In my career you know that the older you go, you play with your brain much more. And the experience, it's funny because you always say, oh, the experience, the experience, you keep hearing that. But it's true.
"When you've got years of experience, you do know when to make an effort, when to relax, when to rest, not to make a pity run.
"And he's been very consistent, he's looked after himself physically, and he's in a team that create a lot of chances for him.
"So yeah, well-deserved, and he'll definitely be a threat against us."
Arsenal must be 100 per cent at Brighton
Aliadiere feels Arsenal have the talented squad but insists they will have to perform at 100 per cent in order to avoid any slip-ups against Brighton on Wednesday
"We've got to take every opposition 100 per cent serious.
"It's only us that can lose it to be honest. I think if we are on it, every single game, we should beat anyone.
"So we've just got to be focused, ready, prepared, and then just go and get the job done."
