The Baltimore Ravens are fresh off of an incredibly disappointing 2025 NFL season that saw them start the year as a Super Bowl contender and end it by missing the playoffs entirely.
Due to the poor season, the Ravens decided to move on from longtime head coach John Harbaugh. They replaced him with Jesse Minter, signaling a new chapter in the history of the franchise.
Heading into the NFL offseason, Baltimore has some clear needs to address. One of those needs will be to find a better pass rush. That has led to some blockbuster trade rumors surrounding the Ravens.
One potential option for Baltimore that has been suggested is an aggressive move to acquire star pass rusher Maxx Crosby from the Las Vegas Raiders. With that being said, a new update has been shared about the Ravens’ potential interest in Crosby.
Baltimore Ravens Land Maxx Crosby Trade Rumor Update
Sports Illustrated NFL insider Albert Breer believes that Crosby is going to get moved this offseason by the Raiders. He also firmly named Baltimore as one of the teams to watch.
Breer also named a handful of other teams who could pull off the blockbuster trade.
“I’d lean toward a Maxx Crosby trade happening, and maybe this week…with teams like Dallas, Chicago, Baltimore, Buffalo, New England, Philadelphia and the Rams keeping tabs on his availability,” Breer said.
During the 2025 NFL season with Las Vegas, Crosby played in 15 games. He racked up 73 total tackles to go along with 10 sacks, two forced fumbles, an interception, and six defended passes. Crosby has totaled 69.5 sacks in his 110-game NFL career.
Crosby would be a perfect addition for the Ravens. He’s exactly the kind of player the team needs to rebuild its defense. However, he’s not going to come cheap.
What Would It Take for the Ravens to Acquire Crosby?
According to a recent report from Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio, the Raiders’ asking price for Crosby is very high.
“Will the Raiders trade defensive end Maxx Crosby? Yes, if they get what they want for him,” Florio wrote. “Per a league source, the Raiders are looking for two first-round picks and a player for the 28-year-old edge rusher.”
Would giving up two first-round picks be a wise investment for Baltimore? Honestly, there are few players that the rumored price tag would make sense for and Crosby is one of those players.
At 28 years old, Crosby still has a lot of high-level football left ahead of him. If the Ravens were to bring him onboard, he would be the face of their defense for the next few seasons at least. The move would be a risk, but it would be a gamble worth taking.
Expect to continue hearing rumors about a potential Crosby trade. For now, Baltimore remains one of the teams worth keeping a close eye on.
