After the Super Bowl loss, Diggs said he wanted to stay in New England “unless they opt out of the contract,” but that future remains murky. The Patriots and Diggs are reportedly down to two options: restructure his deal or part ways.
A March 13 deadline is looming, at which point $6 million in salary becomes fully guaranteed. According to the Boston Herald, his return is “no guarantee,” as team evaluators question if he can still produce as a true WR1 on a $26.5 million cap hit.
