On Sunday, the Milwaukee Bucks allowed a 27-0 run at the end of their game against the Chicago Bulls, resulting in a devastating loss. With the 2025-26 NBA season ticking down, time is running out for the Bucks to overtake said Bulls for the final spot in the play-in tournament.
And with a matchup against the Boston Celtics on Monday, fans were not hopeful that there would be any improvement over their pitiful matchup against Chicago.
But help is, indeed, on the way. Giannis Antetokounmpo, who has been out for the last five weeks, is finally making his return tonight.

According to ESPN NBA insider Shams Charania, who has been pushing the Giannis trade agenda for years, the Greek Freak will make his long-waited return to the Bucks lineup against Boston on Monday night:
Milwaukee’s Giannis Antetokounmpo is expected to return tonight against the Boston Celtics after missing the last 5-plus weeks with a right calf strain, sources tell ESPN.

The Bucks, now 26-33, will start their final stretch of the season with their two-time MVP leading them. And fans could not be more excited:

In 30 games this season, Giannis is averaging 28.0 points, 10.0 rebounds, and 5.6 assists per game.
As was the case the last time he came back from a calf injury, the Bucks will probably heavily monitor his minutes usage for the rest of the year. Prior to the latest injury, he was barely playing 30 minutes per game.
Now that he is returning again, it is likely that head coach Doc Rivers will try to limit him to around 25 minutes to start out.
After tonight’s game, the next time Milwaukee plays is Wednesday.
