Before Tuesday’s game, the Celtics announced their injury report.

They revealed that superstar forward Jayson Tatum remains out.

He has yet to play in a game this season, but there is a lot of hope that he will be able to return to action soon.

The Boston Celtics wrote: “Injury Report for tonight at MIL: Jaylen Brown – Illness (Non-Covid) – OUT Neemias Queta – Rest – OUT Jayson Tatum – Right Achilles Repair – OUT”

Tatum is coming off a season where he had incredible averages of 26.8 points, 8.7 rebounds, 6.0 assists and 1.1 steals per contest while shooting 45.2% from the field and 34.3% from three-point range in 72 games.

He was the third pick in the 2017 NBA Draft out of Duke (and has spent all nine years with Boston).

The 27-year-old has already made six All-Star Games, been to the NBA Finals twice (and won the 2024 title).

The Celtics have still had an outstanding season without Tatum in action.

They come into the showdown with the Bucks as the second seed in the Eastern Conference with a 40-20 record in 60 games.

Last season, Tatum got hurt in the second round of the 2025 NBA playoffs against the New York Knicks (they lost the series in six games).
