2026 NFL salary cap set at all-time high

The NFL salary cap for 2026 has been set at $301.2 million, the league announced Friday, an all-time high and a $22 million increase from last season.

Overthecap.com projected the cap to be $303.5 million, which puts their cap space projections for each team a bit high. They have the Rams at roughly $44.3 million in cap space. Doing the math with the newly released numbers, that would put the Rams' cap space projection around $42 million, which is the ninth-most in the league. This is not a confirmed figure.

Free agency and the 2026 NFL new league year begin at 1 p.m. pacific time on March 11, preceded by the negotiating period that begins March 9 at 9 a.m. pacific time.
