Jerry Jones and the Dallas Cowboys are going to be an entertaining team to watch during the 2026 NFL offseason. After missing the playoffs in 2025, the team is expected to have an aggressive approach.

Not only are the expectations out there that the Cowboys will be aggressive, Jones himself has made that clear.

While speaking to ESPN’s Todd Archer, Jones made it clear that his intention is to spend money this offseason.

“I would bet that we will spend more money in free agency than we have,” Jones said. “I want you to know that the only way to push forward is for me to go borrow some of my future. Expect me to go borrow some of my future, OK?”

One big-time rumors already circulating in Dallas would see the Cowboys pull off a blockbuster trade for Las Vegas Raiders superstar pass rusher Maxx Crosby. Speaking of that rumor, Jones has received a strong message from Rich Eisen about the possibility.

Rich Eisen Sends Strong Message to Cowboys About Maxx Crosby

During a segment of his show, “The Rich Eisen Show,” Eisen spoke out and made it clear that he thinks Dallas should go all-in with a trade for Crosby.

“If they’re able to take the 12th overall pick, and instead of using it on a young defender, get Maxx Crosby for it,” Eisen said. “You are not too far away, you’re just not.”

Crosby would be the missing piece that the Cowboys badly needed from a pass rushing perspective last season. After deciding to trade superstar pass rusher Micah Parsons to the Green Bay Packers just ahead of the 2025 season, it was clear that the team missed him.

Last season, Crosby put together another big year for the Raiders. He played in 15 games, racking up 73 tackles, 10 sacks, two forced fumbles, an interception, and six defended passes. He has totaled 69.5 sacks in 110 career games.

What Would It Take for Dallas to Acquire Crosby?

Las Vegas is going to ask for a lot in order to part ways with Crosby. That asking price has been revealed by Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio.

“Will the Raiders trade defensive end Maxx Crosby? Yes, if they get what they want for him,” Florio wrote. “Per a league source, the Raiders are looking for two first-round picks and a player for the 28-year-old edge rusher.”

Jones likely would not balk at the two first-round pick asking price for Crosby. He’s clearly looking to go all-out for a Super Bowl win and the 28-year-old pass rusher could be that piece for Dallas.

Expect to continue hearing rumors surrounding the Cowboys as the offseason gets going. Crosby’s name will continue being attached to Dallas.
