When its all said and done Jalen Hurts’ Super Bowl victory with the Philadelphia Eagles may be the second most important moment of his career next to his response to being benched at Alabama.
Instead of heading for the transfer portal after being beaten out by Tua Tagovailoa, Hurts opted to remain with the Crimson Tide and refine his game. His patience and commitment resulted in an unforgettable full circle performance where he stepped in for an injured Tagovailoa in the SEC Championship against Georgia and led a comeback victory.

Hurts regularly references the lessons he learned during that time, but now he is sharing them with the youth.
Last year, Hurts announced his first children’s book “Better Than A Touchdown” which follows Jalen as he arrives at school for football tryouts and finds out the program was cut and the field is turned into a garden. In the story Jalen bands together with his friends to save the program instead of laying down and giving up.
Now it appears as if Hurts is not only the author of the story but the audio voice as well. A new video made the rounds on social media revealing Hurts recording his lines for the eventual audio book.
