The Milwaukee Bucks have a special young guard in Ryan Rollins, who is having his best season yet in the NBA.
The former Toledo Rockets guard seems like a gold find for Milwaukee, which acquired Rollins after he was waived by the Washington Wizards in 2024.
Ahead of the Bucks’ game on Sunday against the Chicago Bulls on the road, Milwaukee’s social media team highlighted the tremendous turnaround Rollins is having this season on offense.

If he sustains that form, or better, the rest of the 2025-26 NBA regular season, Rollins will be able to set a new franchise record in that statistical department. Last season, Rollins averaged just 6.2 points while shooting 48.7 percent from the field in 56 games played with Milwaukee.
Bucks’ Rollins proving his worth in breakout season
This time around, he is putting up 17.0 points per game on a 47.0 percent shooting from the floor in his first 57 games in the 2025-26 campaign. A big reason for the big jump in his scoring production is the big minutes he’s been regularly given by Milwaukee. With the Bucks parting ways with Damian Lillard in the offseason, Rollins has stepped up and consistently proven himself as an important cog for Milwaukee.
The Bucks believe in Rollins, who is also making a strong case to win the NBA Most Improved Player Award. So much so that they signed him to a three-year, $12 million contract in 2025. However, that deal comes with a player option for the 2027-28 season, so if Rollins continues to blossom in the league and turns into a star by that time, he could command a much bigger payday down the road.
The 23-year-old Rollins entered the league in 2022 as a second-round pick by the Atlanta Hawks and played for the Golden State Warriors and the Wizards before landing with the Bucks.
