This season, Booker was back in the NBA All-Star game. The 29-year-old star guard appeared in 44 games. He averaged 33.3 minutes on the court, shooing 45% from the field and 30% from three, putting up 24.7 points per game.
Booker also averages 3.9 rebounds and 6.1 assists per game, while turning the ball over 3.3 times per game.
This season, the Suns have exceeded expectations when healthy, but injuries have affected them throughout the year. Booker missed chunks of action throughout January and February, even before his most recent string of absences.
Dillon Brooks, a trade pickup in the offseason, ended up turning in an All-Star-caliber year. Before he went down, Brooks averaged 20.9 points (44% FG, 34% 3PT), 1.8 assists, and 3.7 rebounds.
Brooks’ latest appearance occurred on February 21, when the Suns hosted the Orlando Magic. He checked out just seven minutes into the game. Brooks was diagnosed with a fractured hand. He is expected to be sidelined for at least 4-to-6 weeks. His target game for returning is unclear.
The Suns are 34-26 on the year.
They are placed seventh in the Western Conference, trailing the Los Angeles Lakers by two games. Currently, the Lakers are on a two-game winning streak, but the Suns have plenty of time to squeeze their way into a playoff seed without going through the Play-In Tournament.
The Suns and the Kings are slated for an 11 PM ET tip on Tuesday.
