The Milwaukee Bucks’ 8-2 stretch already feels like it happened so long ago.
Since then, they have gone winless in three games, as they got clobbered anew on Monday night in a 108-81 loss at the hands of the Boston Celtics at Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee.
The night must have been extra tough for forward Kyle Kuzma, who did not see a single second of action.
The former Uta Utes star does not have an injury designation, but was given zero minutes by head coach Doc Rivers against the Celtics.
After the game, Rivers spoke a bit about Kuzma’s floor absence for the entire contest.
“Bucks coach Doc Rivers said Kyle Kuzma not playing tonight was a coach’s decision,” Eric Nehm of The Athletic shared via X (formerly Twitter) following the loss to Boston.
Kuzma gets zero playing time in Bucks’ loss to the Celtics
Kuzma might not have changed the outcome of the game even if played, but it was still intriguing to see him get zero minutes.
Granted that Milwaukee got Giannis Antetokounmpo back in action for the first time since Jan. 23, Kuzma could have still seen some playing time if Rivers wanted so. For what it’s worth, Kuzma had 10 points on 4/5 shooting from the field in the 120-97 loss to the Chicago Bulls on Sunday.
On the season, the 30-year-old Kuzma is averaging 12.9 points, 4.8 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game.
Perhaps Kuzma will be back in rotation on Wednesday, when Milwaukee host the Atlanta Hawks.
