The Reds face the Premier League giants in a mouthwatering fifth round tie at The Racecourse on Saturday, with the winners progressing to the quarter-finals of the famous cup competition.
Wrexham won 1-0 at Charlton Athletic on Saturday to remain in the Championship play-off places and have a free week to prepare for the visit of Liam Rosenior's side.
But the Blues face Aston Villa at Villa Park tomorrow night in a huge top-flight game for both sides in the quest for a top-four finish to guarantee Champion's League football next season.
Parkinson plans to be at that match and he is looking forward to facing star-studded Chelsea on the back of a third victory in a row against the Addicks which leaves his side sixth in the second tier with a four-point advantage over seventh placed Southampton.
On the upcoming cup tie, the Reds' boss said: "I will (enjoy it) now that we've won.
"I love the FA Cup, I really do, but the league was crucial for us and I didn't want to be the team who has one eye on the FA Cup game next week and doesn't turn up at the Valley.
"That's not what we're all about so we've ticked that box. Now I want to just embrace the FA Cup feel this week.
"We will do and we will pick the right team hopefully to give us a chance.
"We know they're a great side. I'll go and watch them on Wednesday at Villa Park.
"That'll be good to see them live and then we'll see where it takes us next week."
Wrexham have had a busy schedule and Parkinson welcomed not having a midweek game ahead of the clash with Chelsea, who are sixth in the Premier League.
"We've had a tough run of fixtures, now it's a deep breath this week and let the lads relax a bit and get ready for what will be a terrific night for the football club next Saturday," he added.
