Lets keep it 100: Chelsea must hire certainty over Promise–Liam Rosenior will not lead Blues back to Premier League glory.

Chelsea fans were told the club was finally moving away from chaos and towards clarity hen they hired Liam Rosenior, but if supporters believe Rosenior is the man who will guide Chelsea back to Champions League nights and Premier League-winning glory, they may be waiting a very long time, according to reporter Iomie Stanley.

He told icfootballnews: ‘Rosenior is a bright coach. Nobody disputes that. He speaks well, thinks deeply about the game and believes in a clear defensive organisation. But CHELSEA’s problems run far deeper than tidy speeches and coaching theory, and the biggest concern is that Rosenior simply does not have the authority, experience or cutting edge required to drag this club back to the top.

‘Chelsea no longer need potential on the touchline. They don’t need a manager who is still figuring out what works and what doesn’t at the elite level. What they need—urgently—is someone who has already lived the pressure of a big club, who has fought for titles, who knows how to command a dressing room full of expensive talents and young egos. Rosenior has not operated at that level. Not even close.

‘And that’s where the issue lies. Chelsea’s dressing room is notoriously demanding, full of players who were bought for huge money and expect to play. Managing that environment is not a job for a newcomer, no matter how promising. When results slip—and they will slip—experience is what keeps a manager afloat. Rosenior does not yet have the miles on the clock to weather that storm.

‘His tactical approach is another concern. CHELSEA desperately need goals, tempo and ruthlessness. They need a manager who encourages risk, verticality and decisiveness in the final third.

‘Rosenior, however, prioritises structure, patience and control. Admirable ideas in theory, but Chelsea have been playing cautious, over-constructed football for too long. They need a jolt of electricity, not another exercise in safe possession.

‘Then there’s the pressure. Chelsea is not a project club. It never has been. Managers here do not get three years to slowly build. They get months. Sometimes weeks. The expectation is instant improvement—immediate results. Rosenior has never coached under that kind of scrutiny. And as history shows, Chelsea swallows inexperienced managers whole.

‘The truth is this: Chelsea can continue hiring coaches based on potential and ideas, hoping one of them eventually sticks. Or they can finally appoint someone proven, battle-tested and ready to win immediately. Rosenior does not fit that description, and the club cannot afford another misstep.

‘CHELSEA fans deserve better than another experiment. They deserve a manager who knows how to win, how to handle the pressure, and how to turn talented squads into trophy-collecting machines. Rosenior may one day be that man for someone—but not for Chelsea, and not right now.

‘If the club truly wants a return to Champions League nights and Premier League glory, they must look beyond promise and hire certainty. Rosenior is not that. And deep down, everyone at Stamford Bridge knows it.’
