Tottenham now considering action as Arsenal-supporting staff member goes viral for comments

According to reports, Tottenham Hotspur are now considering action against one of their Arsenal-supporting staff members. The club are said to be ‘deeply unimpressed’ with the academy scout after his comments emerged online.

It's been a rough season for Spurs, with the threat of relegation now looming with just 10 Premier League games to spare. This weekend saw Idor Tudor lose his second game in as many matches since taking over, with Fulham picking up a 2-1 win over their London rivals.

Tudor's first outing came at home in the derby, as he saw his players thumped by Arsenal 4-1. The Gunners also matched that score-line when the teams met at the Emirates earlier in the season, when Thomas Frank was in charge.

The rivalry between the clubs is one of the biggest in English football, and Mikel Arteta's men have been able to revel in their superiority over Spurs of late. Indeed, the loss to Fulham confirmed the earliest St Totteringham's Day on record, which is the date it becomes mathematically impossible for Tottenham to finish above them in the league.

With all the doom and gloom around Spurs at the moment, the club will not have enjoyed the behaviour of one recently hired employee. While the club declined to comment, reports from the Daily Mail Sport reveal internal anger over social media posts made by Neros Coachman.

Coachman, who states he has a UEFA B Licence, posted a picture of himself in a Tottenham tracksuit next to the club motto ‘To Dare is to Do’, as he said he was ‘looking forward to getting the new set of superstars to the club’. He added: ‘You know the project's good when you're a boyhood Arsenal fan and you switch sides’.

However, he then made a number of jokes about his new employees. After somebody responded: ‘Do not let that badge touch your skin’, Coachman wrote: ‘I've already got the base layer [underneath].’ Another posted: ‘We need someone on the inside’, to which Coachman responded ‘shhhhh.’ A picture of a snake was then posted, with Coachman replying: ‘I know, I know, it’s deserved haha.'

Finally, referring to his Tottenham clothing, a commenter posted: ‘How the hell did you get dressed in that?’ Coachman then responded: ‘It was tough.'

It's stated that the club officials have taken a 'dim view' of his comments and may well take further action as it's being dealt with in-house.

Thomas Frank Previously Upset Spurs Over Arsenal Praise

Considering the current climate at Tottenham, it's not hard to see why these comments might be upsetting for the club and their fans. It's not the first internal Arsenal-related gaffe they've had to deal with this season, either.

Most infamously, former manager Frank was spotted accidentally holding a cup with an Arsenal logo on it during the club's 3-2 defeat to Bournemouth in January. It didn't help that the Danish coach had always been very complimentary of the Gunners.

After he was sacked, reports even claimed that Frank was 'constantly going on about Arsenal' to the point where it actually annoyed some of the players. In a pre-season press conference, for instance, he called them 'one of the best teams in the world’.

Funnily enough, Tudor made similar comments after losing the recent derby, saying they are “probably the best team in the world at this moment."
