Everton host second-bottom of the league Burnley at the Hill Dickinson Stadium on Tuesday 3rd March, coming off the back of a sensational 3-2 victory against Newcastle United at the weekend. The win took them to eighth spot and they’ve earned 40 points so far this season, with boss David Moyessaying it gives him “quite a lot of satisfaction” to hit that target with 10 games left in the season. Now he looks to improve Everton’s home form, as the team have struggled at their new stadium. Here is our Everton predicted lineup and the latest team news.
Everton Team News and Predicted Lineup vs Burnley as Toffees Struggle at New Stadium
How Everton Have Lined Up Recently
Moyes started his strongest team against the Magpies, and it paid off. With some sensational goals during the weekend fixture, and a few incredible saves too, the Toffees looked like a revived team.
Both Everton strikers managed to get a goal against Newcastle, with Beto starting and scoring in the 34th minute, and substitute Thierno Barry scoring in the 83rd. However, Moyes said he still “needs more goals” from his strikers, adding: “I don’t think the numbers are the numbers I want. I want centre forwards to have far more goals. To spread that number out is good. We need a bigger return from them.”

Jordan Pickford started in goal with Jake O’Brien, James Tarkowski, Jarrod Branthwaite and Vitalii Mykolenko lined up as the back four. Idrissa Gueye and James Garner started in defensive midfield, with Iliman Ndiaye, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Dwight McNeil in the attacking midfield. Beto finished the lineup up front.
Everton Recent Form And Tactics
The Toffees have now picked up 24 points on the road, second only behind Arsenal who have collected 29. However, their home form doesn’t look as positive, winning only four of 14 Premier League games at the Hill Dickinson and losing six.
Moyes admitted he doesn’t ask his team to play too differently at home compared to playing away, but asking them to show more ambition has left them wide open at times. He said: “If we have to take all the points away from home and don’t do so well at home, if you look through the history books and look at the teams who have moved to new stadiums, it’s never been that easy, certainly in the first year.”

Injuries and Suspensions
Injuries are being kept very hushed, with Moyes saying: “We have a couple of things I wouldn’t want to reveal at the moment.” He confirmed Charly Alcaraz remains out, whilst Seamus Coleman has picked up a fresh injury.
It is not expected Coleman will be out for long as the injury isn’t serious, but for the time being he joins the injury list with Alcaraz and Jack Grealish.
