Angel Reese Congratulates Her Brother On His NBA Debut

Angel Reese isn't the only professional basketball player in her family.

Julian Reese, the younger brother of the WNBA star, played collegiately at the University of Maryland. He has been playing in the NBA's G League, though he recently got signed to the Washington Wizards' active roster. On Monday night, Reese made his NBA debut, starting at center for the Wizards.

The former Maryland Terrapins star had two points and four rebounds in his NBA regular season debut. Angel Reese was a proud big sister.

Julian Reese was signed to the Wizards over the weekend. The Reese family, from Baltimore, Maryland, was very proud.

"My baby brother," Angel wrote on X.

"Ugh I'm so proud of you! Your journey has never been easy & you've always stayed the course! Let's go Juju!"

Reese could get more playing time moving forward

The Wizards, who need to stay in the top eight of the 2026 NBA Draft in order to hold onto their pick, will likely be giving Reese a lot of minutes moving forward.

Washington isn't exactly trying hard to win as many games as possible right now. The Wizards are about developing for the future and Reese, while unlikely to be a big part of that future, could benefit from some extra playing time throughout the remainder of the 2025-26 season.

The Wizards could be in a position to give Reese some room to improve and show his potential.
