Commanders, Chiefs, Titans, Cardinals rumor reveals interest in elite draft prospect

According to a new rumor, there are at least four teams in the top 10 of the 2026 NFL draft that have interest in Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love.

The rumor comes from NFL Network's Cameron Wolfe and it reveals that the Kansas City Chiefs, Tennessee Titans, Washington Commanders and Arizona Cardinals have interest in Love.

Love is an elite prospect and isn't just the best running back in this year's draft, he's one of the best players overall.

The Notre Dame product runs with power and speed, and he's an elite pass-catcher before he ever steps foot in the NFL. And, Love is a strong pass protector, also, making him a true three-down back.

All four of the teams Wolfe mentions have a top-10 pick and are logical candidates to make an addition at running back this offseason.

The Chiefs will see Isiah Pacheco and Kareem Hunt hit the open market this offseason, and truth be told, Kansas City should be looking for an upgrade.

The Chiefs' offense needs more explosiveness and Love would help check that box.

Washington has a grand total of four running backs hitting free agency this offseason and none of them are guaranteed to be back.

If not, the Commanders need more help for Jacory Croskey-Merritt, who is unproven and profiles as an RB2 more than a lead back.

Love is a true RB1 and would give Washington a promising one-two punch while also making things easier for Jayden Daniels.

The Cardinals are likely to cut James Conner after an injury-plagued 2025 season and that will leave unproven back Trey Benson as their likely starter.

Benson has not cemented himself as a reliable running back yet, which could lead to Arizona going in a different direction and betting on Love's elite abilities.

As for the Titans, they have the best running back situation of these four teams with Tony Pollard and Tyjae Spears, but Pollard is getting up there in age and is entering the final year of his contract.

A duo of Spears and Love would be electric and can take a ton of pressure off the Titans' young signal-caller, Cam Ward.

It has become taboo in recent years to take a running back high in the draft, but Love is not your average back and is definitely worth consideration in the top 10.

Knowing that, we could see any of the four teams Wolfe mentions drafting Love.
