The [New York Jets](/sport/new-york-jets/index.html) are placing their franchise tag on Breece Hall, according to reports.
Hall, who will enter his fifth season with the team later this year, completed his four-year, $9million rookie contract in New York last season.
Multiple reports emerged on Tuesday claiming the Jets have placed the franchise tag on their star running back for $14.29m, which takes him off the free agent market and allows the two parties to negotiate a long-term deal.
