On Tuesday night, the Cleveland Cavaliers will play the Detroit Pistons at home in Ohio.
The Cavs are coming off a 106-102 victory over the Brooklyn Nets in New York.
2018 MVP James Harden led the way with 22 points and eight assists.

Before Tuesday’s showdown, the Cavs announced that they had assigned Tyrese Proctor to the G League.
It’s possible that he could still be recalled back to the NBA before the game.
Cleveland Charge wrote: “OFFICIAL: Tyrese Proctor has been assigned to us for our game today against the Windy City Bulls. #ChargeOn #LetEmKnow”

Proctor was the 49th pick in the 2025 NBA Draft (out of Duke) this past summer.
He is currently averaging 4.8 points, 1.0 rebounds and 1.3 assists per contest while shooting 39.5% from the field and 33.6% from three-point range in 42 games.
Danny Cunningham wrote of Locked On Cavs (during Tuesday’s G League game): “Proctor has started to heat up here. He missed his first five 3s of the morning but has made his last three. He’s up to 19 points with four minutes left in the first half.”

The Cavs come into Tuesday’s matchup with Detroit as the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference with a 38-24 record in 62 games.
They have won seven out of their last ten games.
Following the Pistons, the Cavs will play their next game on Sunday afternoon when they host the Boston Celtics.
At home, they have gone 20-11 in 31 games played in Ohio.

The Cavs have a very talented roster led by Donovan Mitchell, Jarrett Allen, Evan Mobley (and Harden).
They are coming off a season where they were the first seed in the Eastern Conference.
After a strong regular season, the Cavs lost to the Indiana Pacers in the second round of the 2025 playoffs (in five games).

On the other side of Tuesday’s showdown, the Pistons have had an incredible season.
They are the first seed with a 45-14 record in 59 games.
Following the Cavs, the Pistons will play their next game on Thursday when they visit the San Antonio Spurs.
