Nnamdi Collins

Eintracht Frankfurt defender Nnamdi Collins’ recent change of agent could help ease a move to Liverpool this summer.

That’s according to Sky Germany. Their website has a small update on the 22-year-old today. It appears he is gearing up for a major move this summer.

According to their information, Collins wants to leave Eintracht Frankfurt in the summer.

He has already started laying the groundwork for the move by changing his agents. The report does not mention which agency the defender has joined.

But Collins has made it clear that he is looking to take the next step in his career. Sky then add their information, reporting that Liverpool are among the interested clubs.

Liverpool have been scouting

In fact, the Reds have recently scouted the defender. They also got a close look at him when the two sides met in the Champions League in October. Collins was a substitute in that game.

Liverpool, of course, have a solid relationship with the German side after signing Hugo Ekitike from them in the summer transfer window.

Those talks went quickly and smoothly and it’s easy to see that being a positive should talks be opened over Collins in the summer.

The 22-year-old has a deal until 2030 so there is no pressure on Frankfurt to sell. The Bundesliga side are likely to demand a top price to secure a major profit on a player who cost them €1m in 2023.

Premier League interest

Indeed, they beat Premier League competition to his signing from Borussia Dortmund II at the time. Sport Witness covered various reports on Collins before that move.

For example, Chelsea and Manchester City were in a bit of a battle for him three years earlier. Neither ended up getting him of course, and he’s developed at Frankfurt instead.

Now he’s planning a big move this summer. That’s led to a change of agents, with Liverpool seemingly keen.
