A former Saints offensive lineman is joining Kellen Moore's coaching staff. Here's who.

Will Clapp retired from the New Orleans Saints last week, but the former offensive lineman isn't going anywhere.

Clapp will join coach Kellen Moore's staff as an offensive assistant, the Saints announced Tuesday. The move comes after Clapp spent most of last year in an unofficial coaching role upon suffering a season-ending foot injury in the preseason.

Clapp was seen on gamedays with a headset and Moore said during the year that the veteran was being used as a resource for the rest of the line. Clapp, a 2018 seventh rounder, spent six of his eight seasons with the Saints. He also overlapped with Moore in two spots, first being coached by him in 2023 when Moore served as the Los Angeles Chargers' offensive coordinator.

The Saints had an opening on Moore's staff after assistant offensive line coach Jahri Evans departed for a similar job with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
