The Atlanta Falcons never even got Malik Heath on the field.
They signed him in early December, but three months later, they've decided to move on.
ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reported Tuesday that Heath is being non-tendered. That means that Heath, who was slated to be a restricted free agent, will instead just be a traditional free agent available for any other team to sign.
Evidently, the Falcons must've not found themselves particularly impressed with Heath once he came aboard.
The Packers had released Heath once their WR corps got healthy, and the Falcons snatched him up just a few days later.
The 25-year old Heath has already traveled a winding football journey, and it'll continue.
His college career took him from Copiah-Lincoln Community College to Mississippi State to Ole Miss.

Heath went undrafted but latched on with the Packers and found a way to contribute over the course of three seasons.
In 2023, Heath had 15 catches for 125 yards and a touchdown.
The following year, he had 10 grabs for 97 yards and two TDs.
This past season, Heath played in 11 games before being released. He had just six catches for 86 yards.
He's proven himself just enough to likely land another contract elsewhere, although just as has been the theme all along, Heath will have to prove himself again wherever he lands next.
