Arsenal sporting director Andrea Berta reportedly made contact with Inter Milan to ask about Pio Esposito’s availability.
The 20-year-old striker has enjoyed his breakthrough season for the Serie A giants, registering seven goals and six assists in 36 appearances across all competitions.
That form has attracted serious interest from several top European clubs, with Arsenal’s interest well documented in the Italian media.
Now, Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Arsenal approached Inter to check Esposito’s availability ahead of a potential summer move.

It is understood that Andrea Berta personally contacted Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio following a request from Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta.

After making enquiries about the possibility of a deal, Arsenal were immediately informed that Esposito is not for sale.
Inter view the Italian wonderkid as a future superstar and have no intention of entering negotiations over a possible sale.
Esposito’s current contract runs until the summer of 2030.
