She Bought Her Dream Home. Now, NFL Network Reporter Is Warning Everyone: 'Don't Do It!'

It's everyone's dream to own their own home one day, right? Even as it becomes more and more difficult for Americans to purchase a nice, affordable home in a good area, the dream remains for many.

Jane Slater was able to achieve that dream.

The veteran NFL reporter, who covers the Dallas Cowboys and the league at whole for the NFL Network, purchased her dream home in a growing area in Dallas, Texas. However, she's quickly realized that she regrets it. Slater has been documenting her struggles on social media.

"Your weekly reminder that if you are on the fence about buying a house...DON'T," she warned.

Slater, who has had a string of disastrous home incidents in recent months, documented her latest one on her Instagram Story.

The NFL Network reporter revealed that, last night, she came down to the kitchen to get something to drink. Slater was sick and hoping to just get some hydration. However, she opened her fridge and noticed that water was exploding everywhere.

Slater revealed that it took her forever to pull the fridge out because of how sick and weak she was. Eventually, she was able to pull it out, turn off the water power and start cleaning up.

The NFL Network reporter says she was immediately sprayed in the face upon opening her fridge on Monday evening.

"Just gushing," she wrote.

It was just last month, that Slater nearly had a disastrous grilling accident.

"Hey gang. Important PSA. Don't do this at home. For more tips on how to NOT adult, like/follow/subscribe. Almost melted my face off tonight," she wrote, as the video showed major fire coming off the grill.

It's an expensive time to own a home, too

The average home price in Dallas, Texas is north of $300,000, according to Zillow. That number is down about 3 percent year over year, but when you're making that kind of purchase, you want everything to work.

It hasn't gone that way for Slater.

The NFL Network insider is hoping to have less disasters moving forward.
