According to recent reports, the quarterback and his longtime girlfriend, Sophie Scott, have broken up. The two began dating in 2019 while attending the University of Alabama, where Scott was a cheerleader.
While neither party has officially confirmed the split, Scott hasn’t posted a photo with Jones since the spring of 2024, which many see as a sign that they’ve moved on. And folks have some wild thoughts about their breakup after seven years together.

Coach Kyle Shanahan has said he wants Jones back. Still, according to Vic Tafur of The Athletic, the 49ers expect strong trade interest, with offers likely starting at a third-round pick. If the price is high enough, they’re willing to move him.
But before the move\, he moved on from his girlfriend.Scott, a former cheerleader and kinesiology graduate, first shared a photo of them together on Instagram in October 2019, shortly after Jones replaced an injured Tua Tagovailoa during a win over Tennessee.

For over six years, she was a constant presence throughout Jones’s career transitions: from his national championship run at Alabama to his 2021 first-round draft selection by the Patriots, and his subsequent moves to the Jaguars and the 49ers.

Reports of their breakup surfaced on Feb. 28, with outlets noting that Jones is “officially back on the market”. Scott’s last Instagram post featuring Jones was in the spring of 2025, and they have not been seen together publicly during the recent offseason.
