Will Travis Kelce return for the 2026 NFL season? We're not sure, but two suitors have emerged for his services.
Kelce had a productive 2025 season, hauling in 76 passes for 851 yards and five touchdowns. Although he didn't get the chance to play postseason football, he proved that he's still capable of being a difference maker. That would explain why the 11-time Pro Bowler is expected to receive interest from multiple teams this offseason.
According to Matt Verderame of Sports Illustrated, the Cleveland Browns and Kansas City Chiefs are the top landing spots for Kelce.
The expectation is that Kelce will re-sign with the Chiefs if he holds off on retiring this offseason. That being said, the Browns would present him the opportunity to go back home to Ohio to finish his NFL career.
Are there any other suitors?
While it sounds like the Browns and Chiefs are the top suitors, it was previously reported by WFAN's Craig Carton that a move to New York could be in the cards for Kelce.
"The rumor is that Travis Kelce is not going to retire. He wants to come back for another year, but he does not want to go back to Kansas City," Carton said. "I saw a story today that Travis Kelce wants to play for the New York Giants! That way he and his wife can live in New York City, she can go to every game, and Travis Kelce can be in the biggest media market in America. I know it's just a rumor, but do not sleep on the Giants signing Kelce this offseason."
Kelce has addressed any of these rumors at this time. He hasn't even announced if he'll play football this fall.
Free agency in the NFL will officially begin next Wednesday. Suffice to say, it won't be long before we learn what's next for Kelce.
