According to Lakers reporter Dave McMenamin, there's nothing to worry about the sudden exchange between Doncic and Redick.
NBA fans have been buzzing in recent days over an intriguing moment between Luka Doncic and JJ Redick for the Los Angeles Lakers this past weekend.

During the team's 129-101 dominant win over the Golden State Warriors, a clip went viral that shows Doncic and Redick arguing on the sidelines. The Slovenian superstar got substituted out of the game and didn't even dapped up Redick as he went to the bench.
This situation for both Doncic and Redick coincided with the Lakers still dealing with a three-game losing streak.
In ESPN's NBA Today, Dave McMenamin shattered speculations of what might be a feud brewing between the two in Los Angeles.
“I checked into this with people around the league and within the team,” McMenamin told Malika Andrews. “A league source said, when he said the video: ‘L.A. is different. The smallest thing becomes the biggest thing.’ A source close to Luka told me that he and JJ have a strong close relationship that dates back nearly a decade, and they’re both fiercely competitive and they push one another."
There are undeniable bumps so far, but this season has been working well for both Doncic and Redick, leading the Lakers to a 36-24 record and a top-six seeding right now in the competitive West standings.
Doncic is also enjoying the best offensive season of his career, averaging an NBA-high 32.5 points with 8.6 assists, 7.7 rebounds and 1.4 steals in 48 games.
"A team source said, ‘Find me a star in the NBA that isn’t frustrated amidst a three-game losing streak.’ It’s much ado about nothing," McMenamin added.
" ... If you have been around an NBA basketball team full of people who live for competition, sometimes it gets a little messy when they’re trying to go towards a common goal.”
