Jaxson Dart gave the New York Giants exactly what they needed: stability at quarterback. After years of struggling at the position, the 22-year-old took the starting job in Week 4, sending veteran Russell Wilson to the bench.
He stayed there for the rest of the season, finishing with 2,272 passing yards, 15 touchdowns, and five interceptions. Dart was especially dangerous on the ground, scoring nine rushing touchdowns. That set a new franchise record for a Giants quarterback and stands as the third-most by any rookie in NFL history, behind only Cam Newton and Billy Kilmer.
While Dart has become the face of the team’s rebuild, a familiar figure from the Giants’ past is now reportedly looking for a way back into the fold.

Odell Beckham Jr., the 2014 Giants draftee famous for his one-handed touchdown catch against the Cowboys, parted ways with the team in 2019 following a blockbuster trade to the Cleveland Browns. Since then, he has played for the Rams, Ravens, and Dolphins.

Now a free agent at age 33, Beckham was reinstated by the NFL in November 2025 after serving a six-game suspension for a performance-enhancing drug (PED) violation. He has fueled rumors of a return to New York by actively supporting a Change.org petition that has gathered over 4,600 signatures as of late February.
He has also publicly praised young Giants talent, specifically calling Dart “special” and stating he has “all the potential in the world.”
Recently, he commented on Dart’s latest Instagram post, prompting the rookie QB tofire back, “Watcha say, bruh 🤫” — a three-word exchange that set off a wave of speculation.

While the nostalgia is strong, Beckham’s recent production is a hurdle. In 59 games during his first stint with the Giants, he put up 5,476 yards and exactly 44 touchdowns. In his most recent active season with Miami, however, he caught only nine passes for 55 yards in nine games.
