LAS VEGAS —Lauren Zaretsky recorded her seventh top-20 finish of the season on Tuesday, leading the Texas Tech women's golf team at the Lady Luck Invitational at Las Vegas Country Club.
Zaretsky tied for 17th in the 76-player field at 7-over 223 (72-74-77), pacing the Red Raiders on the individual leaderboard after three rounds.
Amy Squires delivered Tech's best round of the day, firing a 1-over 73 in the final round. She carded a team-best four birdies on Tuesday, making gains on holes Nos. 6, 7, 10, and 13 to climb into a tie for 52nd at 19-over 235 (81-81-73).
Klara Hurtova tied for 62nd at 24-over 240 (79-77-84), while Maja Ambroziak tied for 66th at 25-over 241 (80-79-82). Danique Stokmans rounded out the lineup in a tie for 69th at 26-over 242 (80-80-82).
As a team, the Red Raiders finished 14th at 71-over 935 (311-310-314) in the 14-team field.
Meanwhile, back in Texas, Cameron Freund, Denisa Vodickova, and Emily Lee wrapped up play at the West Texas Classic, competing as individuals in the tournament hosted by ACU. Freund tied for eighth at 7-over (71-70-76), Vodickova tied for 16th at 10-over (69-75-76), and Lee finished 78th at 34-over (82-83-79) among the 88-player field.
Texas Tech continues its spring season March 20-22 at the MountainView Collegiate, held at The Preserve Golf Club in Tucson, Arizona.
