Earliest possible return game for Stephen Curry revealed, per report

Per Brett Siegel, there is also no plan for the Warriors to shut down Curry for the remainder of the season, as they are still gunning for a potential playoff seat.

The Golden State Warriors are keeping their fingers crossed that Stephen Curry is making desired and significant progress in his extended absence due to his knee injury.

If everything goes well, ClutchPoints NBA insider Brett Siegel revealed that Curry's earliest potential comeback game from a long injury layoff would be on March 16 against the New York Knicks.

Still, it remains to be seen if the superstar guard will indeed return on that date, which would be the start of the Dubs' grinding six-game road trip.

"That is why there is no rush to bring him back, and that is why sources say the earliest he would be back, but unlikely to return until after this date, is at the start of the Warriors' six-game road trip against the New York Knicks on Sunday, March 15," Siegel wrote.

Added by Siegel, there are no current plans for the Warriors to rule Curry out for the remainder of the season, as the two-time MVP wants to return before the NBA Playoffs.

The Dubs are now 4-7 since Curry was sidelined in late January, and it was revealed recently that he will miss 10 more games to recover.

With their franchise star still unavailable, the Dubs will try to desperately maintain themselves afloat in the contention race. They are currently eighth in the West with a 31-30 record.
