Packers' Micah Parsons Provides New Injury Update

The Green Bay Packers went all-in on Micah Parsons in 2025, trading defensive end Kenny Clark and first-round picks in 2026 and 2027.

With Parsons, the Packers were a Super Bowl contender. Following his ACL injury against the Denver Broncos on Dec. 14, Green Bay lost its final five games.

Parsons finished the season with 41 tackles, two forced fumbles and 12.5 sacks.

It’s no doubt that after Green Bay gave the defensive end a four-year deal worth $180 million, the team wants Parsons out on the field. However, general manager Brian Gutekunst told reporters at the NFL combine in Indianapolis, Indiana, last week that the Packers don’t want to rush Parsons back on the field and risk a worse outcome.

“I’m sure not only with him but a couple others, there’s going to be a lot of pressing to get out there and play,” Gutekunst said, via ESPN. “He calls me the ‘No Man,’ but yeah, we’ll kinda see. Obviously we made a very big investment in him and protecting that investment I think is really important.”

On his X account Tuesday, Parsons provided a couple of updates on his injury recovery this offseason. He can’t wait to return to the field.

Parsons also claimed he feels blessed to be able to walk around again.

“‘I just hit my two-month mark a few days ago!” Parsons wrote. “I'm so blessed, brother! I'm walking and moving on my own again! God is amazing!”

Despite suffering a season-ending injury in December, Parsons earned first-team All-Pro honors in 2025, the third season he’s achieved that feat. He’s been nominated to the Pro Bowl five times.

While Parsons is able to walk and move on his own, it could be a while before he’s allowed to participate in contact drills at practice.
