Nancy Mace used a program meant to offset the costs of maintaining a residence in Washington while serving in Congress. Officials say she may have sought more reimbursement than her actual Washington housing expenses, though she denies wrongdoing and calls the process partisan as the House Ethics Committee reviews the case.
• Paolo Banchero matches season high with 37 points as Magic ease past Wizards 126-109 (wtop.com) — Washington Wizards fans saw their team fall 126-109 to the Orlando Magic, despite rookie Juju Reese earning his second career start and nearly posting a double-double. Paolo Banchero torched Washington for 37 points as the short-handed Wizards dropped their sixth straight but now return home to host Utah on Thursday.
• America's Founding Documents Are Hitting the Road (newser.com) — Washington will host a Great American State Fair on the National Mall as part of nationwide celebrations for the country’s 250th birthday. A “Freedom Plane” carrying rare founding-era documents, usually locked in National Archives vaults, is touring museums nationwide after departing DC, giving residents across the country a rare chance to see original Revolutionary War–era records up close.
