Anthony Edwards passes Kobe Bryant scoring record

Anthony Edwards of the Minnesota Timberwolves has passed Kobe Bryant for the most 40-point games by a shooting guard before turning 25, he is second all-time, only to Michael Jordan.

Anthony Edwards has officially surpassed Kobe Bryant in one of the NBA's most impressive scoring milestones.

On Tuesday night, Edwards scored 41 points for the Minnesota Timberwolves against the Memphis Grizzlies, including 13 points in the fourth quarter with a 10-point streak of his own. He shot 15-29 from the field and 7-13 from three, leaving Memphis' defense helpless.

With this performance, Edwards now has more 40-point games as a shooting guard before turning 25 than Kobe Bryant ever did. He is second all-time, only to Michael Jordan in this elite category.

This milestone shows just how explosive Edwards has become at a young age. This season, Edwards averages 29.5 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game while shooting 49.3% from the field, and 39.8% from three.

The Timberwolves are currently fourth in the Western Conference with a 39-23 record.
