Rob Edwards jokingly hinted that Wolves' 2-1 triumph at Molineux could have left Liverpool "angry" before their FA Cup encounter on Friday night.
The Premier League title holders endured their ninth defeat of the campaign, shipping a goal for the seventh occasion in added time, courtesy of Andre Trindade's deflected effort after Mohamed Salah had previously cancelled out Rodrigo Gomes's opener.
The two teams will lock horns once more in the Black Country later this week for a place in the Cup's quarter-finals, with Edwards believing Arne Slot's men might be seeking revenge.
"It's not great for my heart, I don't think, but I could get used to it, it's a really good feeling," Edwards said.
"At nil-nil at half time, that's where we wanted to be we, we'd have loved to have been winning, but it was where we wanted, we have been growing generally in the second half of games anyway, put more pressure on them and they open up and that was how it went.", reports the Liverpool Echo.
"We've probably made them quite angry now! But no, we just have to take it one a time and we did say before the Aston Villa game (on Friday night) that we want to try and win every game, we know how hard it is to do that.
"You see how good Liverpool are and we had to ride our luck at times. Things went for us tonight. But we will try and pick a team that will win a Cup game and make it exciting. Does it have to be one or the other? We want to win both.
"It's Liverpool, you've seen how good they are, they were champions last year, you've got to savour these moments and yeah, I lost myself a bit there [celebrating late on], a 93rd-minute winner, we have to relish these moments."
Edwards continued: "It's lovely, long may the celebrations carry on. It's the groin this time! It's Liverpool Football Club and any time you beat them, you've got to savour the moment.
"Never mind the position we are in at the moment. They're a fantastic football club with an incredible manager and loads of excellent players. We're trying to turn things around."
