Tatum Remains Out Wednesday
Wednesday’s injury report listed one name. Tatum remains out with a right Achilles repair.
The Celtics have played the entire season without him, but recent reports speculate Friday’s home game against Dallas could mark his return. Bill Simmons floated that timeline on his podcast, pointing to the TD Garden setting as significant. Tatum has talked about wanting his first game back to happen in front of the home crowd.
“Tatum, it feels like it’s going to be Friday in Dallas,” Simmons said.
He has been participating in five-on-five work during practice. Game clearance feels close, but the final call will belong to Tatum.
What a Tatum Return Means for the Celtics
Nick Sang, the Celtics’ trainer, posted a birthday message for Tatum on Monday. The message was brief but revealing.
