**Everton have changed their plans for a warm weather training camp.**

The club regularly ventured to the Middle East under previous managers with Ronald Koeman and Sam Allardyce taking their charges to Dubai in successive seasons.

But due to instability in the region onset by the United States and Israel’s air strikes on Iran, Everton have decided against returning to the Middle East this month.

Moyes remained tight-lipped about potential destinations following the win over the Clarets and joked that they would be spending the off period in his native Glasgow.

However Everton are understood to be assessing Portugal as a viable alternative, having trained in the Algarve resort of Quinta do Lago under Sean Dyche in 2024.
