Jon Rahm has revealed what it was like to play golf with NBA superstar LeBron James recently.
Rahm, who lives in Arizona, arranged a tee time before the Los Angeles Lakers’ road game against the Phoenix Suns last week.
LeBron has become an avid golfer over the last year and appears to either play or watch the sport as much as possible.
Rahm was complimentary of James after enjoying their round at the Silverleaf Club in Scottsdale.
Jon Rahm opens up on playing golf with LeBron James
Rahm contacted LeBron through a mutual friend and agreed to play last Thursday before the Lakers’ defeat to the Suns.
The Spaniard did not say much about James’ game, other than that his size makes swinging a golf club more challenging.

However, Rahm was surprised by the NBA legend’s easygoing personality on the golf course, given how famous he is.
“We have a friend in common and [the Lakers] came early to play the [Phoenix] Suns on Thursday night,” Rahm explained. “He said, ‘Looking forward to seeing if we could play,’ and I had it set up to play golf with him.
“He just started playing, so he’s very new to golf, and somebody that big, golf clubs are not meant for a six-foot-nine giant who’s as strong as he is.

“There’s going to be a learning curve, especially since he’s in season, and he can’t play as much. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him take some really large strides in the offseason because he has a couple of months to work on his game.
“It was a lot of fun. It was incredible to see an athlete of his stature, not physically, I mean, in general, be as giggly as he was, just enjoying being out there, playing golf, and having fun. It was a fun day, and I’m looking forward to hopefully doing it again.”
It sounds like James can add Rahm to his list of golf buddies, as he continues to devote his free time to the sport.
LeBron James’ golf swing needs work
Although LeBron James has only just started playing, golf fans have already criticized his swing.
After a video of him at the Olympic Club in San Francisco went viral, critics weighed in with their harsh comments.
One fan wrote, “Proof you can be athletic and still suck at golf,” while another said, “This legitimately makes me feel better about myself.”
Hopefully, Rahm gave James some advice last week that he can implement in his game.
