Albion handed fixture update for Chelsea's trip to the Amex

Their home game with Liam Rosenior’s side has been switched to Sunday, April 26, with a 4.30pm kick-off, and will be shown live on Sky Sports.

But it is not quite that straightforward.

It will revert to Saturday, with kick-off time to be confirmed, if Chelsea reach the Champions League semi-final and are scheduled to play on the following Tuesday.

A new date altogether will have to be found if Chelsea reach the semi-finals of the FA Cup, which take place on that weekend.

That remains a possibility. Chelsea visit Wrexham in the fifth round and would then have to negotiate the quarter-finals.

Albion’s away game at Tottenham Hotspur remains on Saturday, April 18 but has been pushed back to 5.30pm to be shown live on Sky Sports.

The latest batch of re-arrangements appear to be good news for travelling Albion fans plotting their trip to Burnley.

That game remains on Saturday, April 11 at 3pm and will be the Seagulls’ first action for three weeks.

May’s schedule, which has yet to be tweaked and re-arranged, includes the long haul to Newcastle as well as the game at Leeds.

Elsewhere, the potential Prem title decider between Manchester City and Arsenal at the Etihad has been confirmed for Sunday, April 19 at 4.30pm and will be shown on Sky Sports.

It will immediately follow the first Merseyside derby at Hill Dickinson Stadium on what appears a double bill worthy of the Super Sunday billing.
