West Ham and Everton are both keen on recruiting Raul Jimenez if he leaves Fulham this summer, according to reports in Mexico.

The 34-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season, and TUDN (via El Futbolero) claim that he could stay in the Premier League.

Jimenez secured a one-year extension last May to remain at Craven Cottage. At the time, he revealed he had rejected offers to return to Mexico, and to play in Saudi Arabia and the United States.

This time round, though, the 123-cap international striker is not expected to stay with the Cottagers, although he remains steadfast on his stance that he wants to continue playing in Europe.

West Ham will need to replace Wilson

While Taty Castellanos and Pablo were brought in for a combined £47m during the January transfer window, head coach Nuno Espirito Santo will still need some depth up front if Callum Wilson departs at the end of his current deal.

Like Jimenez, the general expectation is that Wilson will move on to pasture’s new once his contract expires on June 30th. He only signed a 12-month agreement when he made the switch to the London Stadium last summer. Buy a West Ham shirt from the Castore store here.

Jimenez is an option IF the Hammers stay up

The club’s £104m loss for the year ending May 2025 means that sales will be a necessity at the end of the campaign, no matter what division the club is playing in.

Snapping up free agents like Jimenez may, therefore, be the only solution to bringing in fresh faces. Of course, the forward may only be open to joining the Irons on the proviso that the club remains in the Premier League.
