Liverpool’s 2026/27 pre-season plans have reportedly been finalised.

The Reds’ pre-season preparations last summer saw Arne Slot’s squad jet off to Asia, with stops in Hong Kong and Japan marking the club’s first visit to the region since 2023. The tour proved a commercial and footballing success, with Liverpool facing AC Milan at the brand-new Kai Tak Stadium in Hong Kong—the first-ever football match hosted at the venue – before heading to Japan to take on Yokohama F. Marinos.

And now it has been reported that Arne Slot’s men will return to the United States for the 2026/27 pre-season, marking a return to the continent after the 2024 visit- which were the Dutchman’s first weeks at the club.

The Athletic has reported the news, with Adam Crafton revealing:

“Liverpool will return to the United States for the club’s pre-season tour this summer to play in three matches against Wrexham, Leeds United and Sunderland following the completion of the World Cup in North America.”

“As part of a mini-series, Liverpool and Wrexham will also play Premier League teams Leeds United and Sunderland. The matches will take place across the final week of July and the first weekend of August, and Liverpool will play games in Nashville, New York and Chicago, keeping their travel largely towards the east coast and midwest of the country.”
