Aaron Rodgers To Appear On Pat McAfee Show Wednesday

Since the Pittsburgh Steelers’ season ended in January, Aaron Rodgers is making his first public appearance with an interview on the Pat McAfee Show Wednesday. McAfee started the show by announcing Rodgers would join the program at 2:05/EST today.

What Rodgers has to say is anyone’s guess but it certainly seems possible Rodgers provides clarity on his 2026 status.

“Where is he at? What are his thoughts as he heads into another offseason in which anything, I assume, is possible,” McAfee said in teasing the interview.

He later referenced the Steelers hiring Rodgers’ former coach Mike McCarthy and the potential draw that creates to keep Rodgers playing for one more season.

After making regular appearances on the show for years, Rodgers opted against going on the show throughout the 2025 season. His last appearance, as McAfee noted, occurred during training camp. Exact reasons for Rodgers stopping his weekly interviews are unclear but it appears he wanted to focus on football and the Steelers to perhaps limit the number of headlines his comments often made during his time with the New York Jets.

Rodgers made two appearances on McAfee’s show last offseason. Once in April to clear up narratives about him and again in late June after signing with the Steelers.

Will Rodgers provide a definitive answer to his status? His tight inner circle means if anyone is going to be the first to break the story, it’s Rodgers.

While McAfee’s interviews aren’t usually interrogating by nature, Rodgers will surely be asked about his status and future. Will he give a direct answer? Is he still contemplating his decision? Or does he know his answer and wants to inform the Steelers before telling the world?

During last week’s NFL Combine, GM Omar Khan believed Rodgers’ answer would come “sooner than later” and wouldn’t drag into June like it did last offseason. Based on today’s news, Rodgers’ answer could come later today.
