The Los Angeles Rams made it to the NFC Championship game last season before losing to the Seattle Seahawks. One of the biggest issues with Los Angeles last season was the cornerback position on the defensive side of the football.

Well, the Rams decided to make a shocking trade with the Kansas City Chiefs on Wednesday. Adam Schefter of espn.com reported, “ESPN sources: the Chiefs and Rams are working on a blockbuster trade that would send All-Pro CB Trent McDuffie to Los Angeles for a package that would include the 29th overall pick in the first round of the 2026 NFL draft. McDuffie would be expected to sign a long-term deal with the Rams.” Trent McDuffie is 25 years old. Last season with Kansas, he recorded 63 tackles, one sack, one forced fumble, one interception, and seven pass deflections.

This goes to show that Kansas City is not close to being a playoff team after having a 6-11 record last season. The Chiefs have a lot of holes on the roster, and it appears as if they have some more tearing down to do. As for the Rams, this was a great trade for them to get McDuffie and they could be one of the favorites to win Super Bowl LXI next season.
