Aston Villa vs Chelsea – Team News: Rosenior makes massive goalkeeper decision in crucial game

Chelsea face Aston Villa at Stamford Bridge in a massive Premier League game in just over an hour, and the teams are in!

Liam Rosenior has made some massive calls here, and we’re not sure about a lot of them.

There are some we expected – Mamadou Sarr drops back to the bench for the returning Wesley Fofana. Jorrel Hato keeps his place at left back with Marc Cucurella only fit enough for the bench.

But in goal there’s a huge change – Robert Sanchez has been dropped for Fillip Jorgensen after some mistakes at the weekend. That feels very harsh given Sanchez has had a good season, and Jorgensen is generally pretty dodgy.

It doesn’t feel like the game to bring in that sort of disruption to the back line. There’s also a change at right back, where Malo Gusto comes in. Reece James is moved into midfield in place of Andrey Santos, who is benched.

This is just the sort of panic move that Enzo Maresca was making towards the end. We all saw how effective James is on the right on Sunday, why change that?

In the attacking line, Alejandro Garnacho is in on the left, replacing Pedro Neto, with Cole Palmer on the right and Enzo Fernandez central. Joao Pedro leads the line – boy could we do with a goal from him today.

Here are the full team line-ups for Aston Villa vs Chelsea (kick off at 19:30 GMT)
