Saka set to make 300th Arsenal appearance

After being named in our side for our Premier League clash with Brighton & Hove Albion, Bukayo Saka is set to make his 300th Arsenal appearance tonight.

The forward will bring up his triple century after seven-and-a-half years in our first team, since making his bow in an Europa League game against Vorskla Poltava in November 2018.

Since then he has started 256 games and come off the bench in another 43, and should he feature as expected against the Seagulls, he’ll become the 52nd player to hit 300 in our history.

He’ll be the first player to reach this milestone for us since Laurent Koscielny in November 2017, and the first Englishman since Theo Walcott in May 2015.

Only three players in our history have hit a triple century at a younger age than Bukayo, with Cesc Fabregas the last youngest to achieve the feat back in 2009 aged 23:

In that time, he has scored 78 goals and added 69 assists. 58 of those strikes have come in the Premier League, already putting him in our top 10 goalscorers in the division, while only five other players have scored more often at Emirates Stadium since we moved in nearly 20 years ago.

Bukayo will be hoping to continue his fine form against Brighton tonight and mark his milestone appropriately. He has either scored (2) or assisted (2) in each of his last four appearances against the Seagulls in all competitions, netting in each of his last two appearances at the Amex Stadium.
