Arsenal dealt huge blow vs Brighton as big star unavailable to feature tonight

Arsenal will be without William Saliba tonight when they take on Brighton & Hove Albion , according to AFC AMDEN and journalist Ryan Taylor.

AFC AMDEN – a Gunners insider – is famous for breaking news about about Mikel Arteta’s side and the latest updates around the Emirates Stadium club on social media.

He is followed by the likes of Kaya Kaynak, Simon Collings, Charles Watt and Sami Mokbel on X (formerly Twitter) and has made the claim this evening before Arsenal take on the Seagulls.

Saliba played the whole match in the 2-1 win over Chelsea on Sunday, and being without him for such a big game tonight is a huge blow.

However, Arsenal have enough depth and quality cover in the position, with Spanish centre-back Cristhian Mosquera expected to play alongside Gabriel Magalhaes in central defence in the absence of the Frenchman.

Fortunately for Gunners, they have done well in the absence of Saliba so far this term, winning eight times and drawing twice without him in the starting line-up.

Arsenal have only lost once in his absence in 2025-26 – the defeat to Aston Villa at Villa Park – and Gabriel was also missing that day.

The North Londoners will fancy their chances tonight despite the unavailability of Saliba, and a win will take them closer to the title.
