Robert Sanchez has been dropped by Chelsea boss Liam Rosenior for the Blues' crunch Premier League clash with Aston Villa.
The goalkeeper is not thought to be injured as he has been named on the bench by Rosenior.
Filip Jorgensen has been chosen in place of Sanchez for the game at Villa Park, a vital match in the race for Champions League qualification.
